About the Company
Aerospace Malaysia Innovation Centre (AMIC) was incorporated on the 16th of May 2011 under the company Act 1956. The Malaysia Aerospace Council (MAC) meeting on December 1, 2010 has agreed to establish AMIC as an industry led innovation centre to enhance Malaysia’s aerospace industry competitiveness. The formation of AMIC is to complement the ‘Business Services’ of the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP).
AMIC was developed and championed by the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT), the centre is described as an innovative model which substantially improve the commercial success of aerospace research and development projects undertaken in Malaysia.
Our core business is undertaking collaborative research and technology project in collaboration with the industries and the universities in aerospace sector. Research projects will be spearheaded by founding lead members namely Airbus Group, Rolls Royce and CTRM. All research works will be driven, evaluated, and managed by prominent industrial experts. The main research focus areas are Sustainable Aviation and Factory of the Future.
