- Overseeing all accounting operations (Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition).
- Coordinating and directing budget preparation and financial forecasts; reporting variances.
- Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
- Managing compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop and Implement Financial Strategies: Work closely with the CEO and executive team to formulate long-term financial strategies that align with the company’s overall objectives.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify and evaluate financial risks, including market, credit, operational, and liquidity risks. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Capital Allocation: Make decisions on capital allocation to ensure optimal use of the company’s financial resources. Prioritize investments that align with strategic objectives and provide the best returns.
- Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
- Attending company events to build relationships and promote financial initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional certification (C PA, CMA) is preferred.
- Proven experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP and IFRS.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Experience with budget preparation, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance related to financial reporting and tax filings.
- Ability to develop and implement effective business processes and internal controls.
- Leadership abilities to manage and motivate a team, and to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Working hours: Monday to Saturday; 10am to 7pm.
