We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage full sets of accounts for our construction company. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Full Sets of Accounts:** Manage and maintain the company's full set of accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.

- **Financial Reporting:** Prepare and present accurate financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

- ⁠To manage stock take & prepare stock take report, analyse & follow up on stock discrepancies, if any. Support audit matters relates to costing & inventory

- ⁠To handle fixed assets related issues

- ⁠oversee daily operational functions of finance & accounts department

- ⁠perform any other ad-hoc relevant tasks as assigned

- **Budgeting & Forecasting:** Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts; monitor and report on budget variances.

- **Compliance:** Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies; handle tax & SST reporting and liaise with tax authorities & Royal Custom Malaysia

- **Audit Preparation:** Assist with external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

- **Project Accounting:** Monitor and manage financial aspects of construction projects, including cost tracking, invoicing, and project profitability analysis.

- **Accounting Systems:** Utilize accounting software to record transactions, generate reports, and maintain financial records.

- **Expense Management:** Review and process expense claims; manage cash flow and oversee petty cash handling.

- **Financial Analysis:** Perform financial analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement.

**Qualifications:**

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is preferred.

- Minimum of [5] years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

- Proficiency in accounting software - Auto Count

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

**Additional Requirements:**

- Familiarity with Malaysian financial regulations and tax laws.

- Good communication skills in Chinese, English and Bahasa Malaysia.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
