JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager in planning, designing, and supervising construction works at the Work Package (WP) site, handling additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
  • Ensure adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and required quality standards for all site works.
  • Review all drawings for discrepancies and assess Contractor submittals for site activities, method statements, and proposed materials.
  • Conduct field quality control on-site work and materials, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and recommending procedural modifications if needed to resolve on-site issues.
  • Assist the Project Manager and designers in verifying temporary works designed by the contractor against actual on-site conditions, recommending modifications as necessary.
  • Attend various meetings and represent the company with statutory bodies, landowners, third-party contractors, and local authorities to facilitate construction activities and address technical and contractual matters.
  • Provide technical and management guidance to the site team, ensuring collaboration between sub-consultants and company personnel for project success.
  • Act as the primary contact for construction supervision between stakeholders to ensure the project progresses smoothly.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 15 years of working experience, with a minimum of 12 years in major roadworks.
  • Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia as a Registered Graduate or preferably a Professional Engineer.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Proficient in industry-standard software and tools for engineering and project management.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of local regulations and standards in Malaysia.
