- To ensure all systems in scope are in operation and meets the expected uptime.
- To provide problem support and escalation, communication with relevant parties to provide solution or workaround process for business continuity.
- To upkeep all systems up-to-date with the necessary patches to ensure system is free from any vulnerabilities and problem fixing.
- To upkeep all systems and its related components in meeting the agreed Service Levels. Performing Systems Support (e.g. systems performance, systems tuning etc) and preventive measures.
- For systems that has dependencies on third party, to have agreement for provision of services to enable support of systems.
- To manage a team of IT Support Specialist towards the abovementioned expectations.
Job requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum 10 years working experience in IT Support with at least 3 years in leadership role.
- Proven experience in managing critical regional systems.
- Critical and analytical thinking skills.
- Excellent relationship management experience.
- Strong technical knowledge:
- Linux and Windows server environments.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, and shell
- Networking, firewall, and hardware BOM (added advantage)
- Containerization and orchestration platform (namely Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker) and ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana)
- SQL scripting for RDBMS databases.
- MSSQL and Oracle.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting system performance, outages, availability, and security issues.
