Solution Architect

The Solution Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions using Amazon Web Services (AWS) to support web-based applications.

Key Responsibilities

AWS Cloud Design and Operation:

• Design and architect scalable, highly available, and secure AWS cloud infrastructure to support web-based applications.
• Optimize the performance, cost, and reliability of AWS resources.
• Ensure the seamless integration and operation of AWS services.

Network Design and Configuration:

• Design and configure network architectures, including VPCs, subnets, routing tables, and network ACLs.
• Manage and configure AWS networking services, such as Route 53, SSL/TLS certificates, and CloudFront.
• Ensure efficient and secure network connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement and maintain security best practices for the cloud environment, including AWS Config, VPC Flow Logs, CloudWatch, and AWS Systems Manager (SSM) Tunneling.
• Leverage AWS security services, such as IAM, AWS Control Tower, and AWS Cognito, to enforce access controls and identity management.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as Bank Negara RMiT, by implementing appropriate security measures.

Service Deployment and Integration:

• Deploy and configure AWS services to support business-critical applications, such as SFTP, business intelligence solutions (e.g., Amazon QuickSight, Amazon Athena), and API-driven architectures (e.g., API Gateway, AWS Cognito).
• Integrate various AWS services to create comprehensive and scalable solutions.
• Automate the deployment and management of AWS resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Implement serverless architecture using AWS Fargate, ECS, and ECR.

CICD and Infrastructure as Code:

• Leverage CICD tools, such as AWS CodeCommit, CodePipeline, and CodeDeploy, to automate the deployment and management of AWS resources.
• Utilise AWS CloudFormation to define and manage infrastructure as code.

Key Accountabilities

1. Platform Design:

• Work closely with developer team to design core system for Guarantee product

Qualification:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
2. Minimum 1 years of experience in cloud architecture and solution design, with a focus on AWS.
3. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
4. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including compliance and risk teams.
5. Ability to stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and best practices.

Experience:

Cloud Expertise

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience managing AWS infrastructure OR other cloud platforms
• Familiar with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiar with CICD Tools, technologies

Solution Design

• Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Proficiency in network design, configuration, and management, including knowledge of Route 53, SSL/TLS certificates, and CloudFront.
• Strong understanding of security best practices and the ability to implement security controls, such as AWS Config, VPC Flow Logs, CloudWatch, and AWS Systems Manager (SSM) Tunneling.
• Experience in leveraging AWS security services, including IAM, AWS Control Tower, and AWS Cognito.

Service Development

• Familiarity with deploying and integrating various AWS services, such as SFTP, business intelligence solutions (e.g., Amazon QuickSight, Amazon Athena), and API-driven architectures (e.g., API Gateway, AWS Cognito).
• Experience in implementing serverless architecture using AWS Fargate, ECS, and ECR.

Security

• Understanding of industry standards and regulations, such as Bank Negara RMiT, and the ability to ensure compliance.
• Experience in implementing and managing security software, such as SIEM and CSPM.

Skills/Competencies:

1. Certification in AWS solutions architecture is preferred.
2. In-depth knowledge of DevOps practices, principles, and tools.
3. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
