What would you do?

End-to-end contract management

  • Assist Contract Owner with the end-to-end contract management process from contract preparation through to contract execution.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions with vendors to ensure TNG’s interests are protected. Ensure contract requirements are clearly spelt out in the tender documents by becoming one of the stakeholders during the tender documents preparation stage.
  • Initiate contract drafting post tender award.
  • Review contract terms and conditions including commercial terms (Statement of Works / schedule of Works / Pricing schedules / etc) to ensure alignment to Contract Owner’s business or operational needs, inclusion of requisite rights for TNG (termination, exclusivity, IP rights, etc) as well as obligations to be imposed on the vendor.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions with vendors to ensure TNG’s interests are protected.
  • Finalise contract terms and conditions and certify compliance before routing for authorised signatories execution.

Contract renewals management

  • Maintain contract database.
  • Trigger Contract Owners on upcoming contract expiry and discuss with Contract Owners to determine if a new sourcing activity or a contract extension is to be performed.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions including commercial terms for contract extension.

Vendor assessment management

  • Trigger & facilitate Contract Owner to perform periodic Vendor Performance Assessment (VPA).
  • Consolidate and assess performance review from Contract Owner to coordinate the next step (eg acceptance, re-assessment, risk reporting, specific committee approval, remediation activities, etc).
  • Advise and assist BU in performing remediation activities.
  • Lead the consequence management activities for situation arising from either non-satisfactory VPA outcome or ad-hoc breach of contract / non-fulfilment of SLA, from official correspondence letter drafting in consultation with Legal through to letter issuance and follow up on closure.
  • Lead contract termination activities due to consequence management.

Procurement Department DCORO and DCC.

Any other tasks that are assigned from time to time.

Who should join us?

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Qualification in the relevant discipline (Legal)
  • At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
  • Strong risk and compliance exposure
  • Proven experience in contract negotiation to secure favourable terms for the best value proposition.
  • Experience and exposure in Procurement tendering process will be an added advantage.
  • Strong understanding of contracting methodologies
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Sound time management and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills including problem solving and analysis
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Power point, outlook and other relevant tools
  • Able to present and provide training confidently and effectively
  • Keen eye for opportunities to increase efficiency and simplicity
  • Leadership and teamwork
  • Strong collaborative skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Able to communicate well and provide clear guidance to Business Users/Enablers and suppliers
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
