The role of the ‘Manuf IT Engineer’ in KL as part of the Site IT Manufacturing Team will be

Network/System Specialist for KL Manufacturing Operations & responsible to install, maintain and support perimeter security devices as well as network devices for KL Site Manuf / Banking Perso NW with associated customers. The Goal is to ensure the smooth operation of perimeter security device as well as network devices in order to provide maximum performance, protection, and availability for users. This includes,

IT Resource to support Thales KL factory Manufacturing IT Operations & responsible to,

  • Support KL Manufacturing & Banking Perso information systems including IT infrastructure, servers and applications; coordinates all the IT support activities in KL with regional and Regional/HQ IT team;
  • To be the project coordinator, work with HQ together or independently for the project implementation
  • Ensure continuous delivery of IT services through oversight of service level agreements with business users & monitoring of IT systems performance.


Job Description

  • Configure and troubleshoot Cisco switch, router and Firewalls
  • Build and support security and network related infrastructure systems
  • Monitor alarms of network and perimeter security systems
  • Respond to trouble tickets, perform troubleshooting on perimeter security & network devices
  • Maintain and administer network and perimeter security standards, documentation, processes and procedures.
  • Responsible for Manufacturing IT Windows Systems / Server / Domain Operations & Support monitoring, & support including integration with WAN, LAN, firewall, servers, and associated hardware and software
  • Ensure continuous delivery of IT services through oversight of service level agreements with business users and monitoring of IT systems performance.
  • Close co-operation with regional and global IT Departments in order to follow Corp’s worldwide IT expertise and guidelines


Reporting

The position reports directly to Asia regional Manufacturing IT Manager

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering/Electronics/Computer Science or equivalent


Experience:

  • 6 years of proven experience in mission critical IT Operations & End-User Support envs
  • Experience with Fortinet firewalls, Aruba solutions and Check Point Security Devices
  • Strong working knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies & with hands-on experience in mid-size envs
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing, WinSvr, Active Directory, HP server hardware/storage.
  • Experience with Sniffer software, Structured Cabling documentation standards and diagramming
  • Experience of Knowledge of Windows Server 2K16/2K19 and Vmware/Citrix virtualization production
  • Knowledge of Linux / Open Source tools and applications will be an advantage
  • Knowledge of Oracle DB is a plus


Skills

  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Excellent skills with - Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must
  • CIsco or Aruba Certification or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles
  • Ability to work in a team environment and/or as an individual contributor, as required.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
