Job Description

We are looking for a skilled communications professional to join our team as an Public Relations Manager. The expectation is that you are an experienced, broadly capable programme/account lead who provides excellent client service and effectively supervises others.

You should feel confident being involved in any client activity: leading the team on smaller mandates or proactively taking on all/part of complex projects and critical initiatives. With guidance, you may also be responsible for mid-sized accounts (or pieces of larger accounts), planning and managing objectives within budgets. As a day-to-day client contact, you move things forward – beyond simply providing updates and basic insights, they deliver counsel rooted in a solid understanding of the client's business.

Responsibilities

  • You are a skilled strategist, a people manager, and a client lead on the day-to-day work.
  • Oversees large projects or high-stakes opportunities from start to finish, with the Account Director/Vice President support where needed.
  • Pitch ideas, review campaign strategies and plans, provide direction and edit key content, realign the team when expectations are not met, and support on high-touch issues and crisis communications.
  • Own operational duties such as budget management and people management.
  • Hold down the fort in most client meetings without support or oversight.
  • Turn strategy into stories and stories to influence.
  • Responsible for the management and development of your team.
  • Continue to grow the existing relationships with clients.
  • Cultivate and build client relationships in order to support new business efforts.

Qualifications

  • A strong PR consultant with at least 4 years of relevant agency experience working with B2B Technology or corporate PR
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
  • Motivated by working on fast-paced high performing accounts
  • Ability to lead a junior team with proven experience at managing and supporting more junior team members with client work and career progression
  • Proven ability to strategic insights and client counsel, formulate and deliver creative ideas and solutions to meet client objectives.
  • Experience working on and winning new business pitches
