The Position

As a member of Roche Informatics' Data Advisory & Insights team, the Data and Analytics Specialist plays a crucial role in building and maintaining strong relationships with business stakeholders across different functions. In this role, you will work in an agile product team, understanding the analytical needs of the domain and utilizing your expertise in data and analytics to fulfill those needs. With a proven track record in understanding the true requirements of business stakeholders, you will collaborate as a team player in delivering data products. Additionally, you are comfortable with ambiguity, able to work independently with minimal oversight.

The Financial Planning team at Roche is responsible for supporting the budgeting and forecasting processes across the organization. We utilize TM1/Planning analytics and SAC technologies for this purpose. We are currently seeking a candidate who can support our TM1 application specifically for our diagnostics division. This involves incident management as part of the financial planning processes, closely collaborating with the business to document new requirements for enhancements, and contributing to the development, testing, and training of new capabilities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban is necessary
  • Act as a Business Analyst, closely collaborating with customers to understand their processes and requirements
  • Document users' requirements and create Functional Specification and Design documents
  • Provide training to end users
  • Gain a deep understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Manage incidents and contribute to the further development of the applications
  • As a senior IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) developer, you should be able to work in teams and manage other developers
  • Knowledge of Python and/or JavaScript is preferred but not mandatory
  • Openness to learning new capabilities, especially SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). It is crucial for the candidate to be able to support our Pharma China SAC planning
  • Demonstrate a self-organizing and proactive attitude
  • Fluency in English is required as it is the business language. Good to have Mandarin language as the role will be working very closely to our China counterpart
