Job Description:

As a Solution Sales Specialist selling BlueOnion's SaaS Sustainability Solutions to financial institutions, your primary focus would be driving sales and building relationships. Knowledge and a network within the financial sector are essential. Your main objective is to promote and sell the software solutions effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of BlueOnion's SaaS Sustainability Solutions, including their features, benefits, and value proposition for financial institutions. Be able to articulate how the software can address financial institutions' specific sustainability, regulation, and ESG needs.
  • Targeted Prospecting: Identify and target potential financial institutions actively seeking sustainability solutions or expressing interest in ESG integration. This can be done through market research, industry reports, and leveraging existing industry contacts.
  • Relationship Building: Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers in financial institutions, such as sustainability officers, ESG analysts, and IT managers. Establish trust and credibility by demonstrating your understanding of their unique challenges and offering tailored solutions.
  • Solution Customization: Work closely with potential customers to understand their requirements and challenges related to sustainability and ESG reporting—Tailor BlueOnion's SaaS solutions to meet their needs and provide a clear value proposition.
  • Effective Communication: Clearly articulate the benefits and ROI of BlueOnion's software solutions to financial institutions. Highlight how the software can help them streamline sustainability reporting, enhance ESG performance, and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Product Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations that showcase the capabilities and features of BlueOnion's SaaS Sustainability Solutions. Highlight real-world examples and case studies to demonstrate the software's effectiveness.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare persuasive proposals and pricing quotes that align with the requirements and budget of the financial institutions. Clearly outline the software's implementation process, support services, and long-term benefits.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Engage in negotiation discussions, addressing any concerns or objections raised by potential customers. Work towards closing deals and securing contracts, ensuring a mutually beneficial agreement for both parties.
  • Account Management: Once a sale is made, maintain ongoing relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction with the software and addressing any support or service needs. Foster long-term partnerships and explore opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional solutions.
  • Sales Metrics and Reporting: Track and report key sales metrics, such as revenue generated, conversion rates, pipeline growth, and customer retention. Provide regular updates to management on sales activities, forecasts, and market trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field. CFA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Previous sales experience in the software or technology industry, is beneficial. Experience selling to financial institutions or working in the sustainability/ESG space is essential.
  • Knowledge of Financial Institutions: A strong understanding of the financial sector, including the structure, operations, and key stakeholders within financial institutions, is essential. Familiarity with sustainability practices and ESG considerations in the financial industry is highly valued.
  • Product Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of BlueOnion's SaaS Sustainability Solutions is necessary to present and sell the software to potential customers effectively. Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks, ESG integration, and related industry trends is also desirable.
  • We have a proven track record of success in sales, business development, or relationship management roles within the financial industry, preferably in sustainable finance or related sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Asian financial market, including key players, regulatory landscape, and market trends.
  • Strong network and established relationships with Asian financial institutions, asset managers, and institutional investors.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
