United BC Team is seeking a skilled and motivated PLC/Electrical Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and PLC-based control systems. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong commitment to ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
PLC Programming and Troubleshooting:
- Develop, test, and modify PLC programs to enhance system performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve PLC-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Perform regular system backups and documentation of PLC programs and configurations.
Electrical System Maintenance:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including control panels, circuit breakers, and wiring.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment.
- Diagnose and repair faults in electrical circuits and control systems.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams for troubleshooting and resolving electrical and control system issues.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technical staff to implement system upgrades and improvements.
Job Requirements:
- Degree / Diploma / Technical Certification in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Hands-on experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and instrumentation.
- Familiarity with industrial automation systems and control processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Journeyman Electrician, PLC Programming Certification) are a plus.
