United BC Team is seeking a skilled and motivated PLC/Electrical Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and PLC-based control systems. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong commitment to ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

PLC Programming and Troubleshooting:

  • Develop, test, and modify PLC programs to enhance system performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve PLC-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Perform regular system backups and documentation of PLC programs and configurations.

Electrical System Maintenance:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including control panels, circuit breakers, and wiring.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in electrical circuits and control systems.

Technical Support:

  • Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams for troubleshooting and resolving electrical and control system issues.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technical staff to implement system upgrades and improvements.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree / Diploma / Technical Certification in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with industrial automation systems and control processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Journeyman Electrician, PLC Programming Certification) are a plus.
