Merchandise Specialist

The day-to-day activities:
• Present, promote and sell Grab Food’s Dine-in Deals and offline solutions to new, existing and prospective merchants
• Responsible for contract review with merchants and contract submission via CRM tools
• Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs
• Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media
• Work closely with the team leader to execute acquisition strategies and initiatives.
• Drive growth of selected areas, measured by target deliveries
The must haves:
• Any professional certifications is acceptable.
• Years of experience: None - 2 years (Previous sales experience and account management is a plus, but not required). Experience in F&B industry is a plus
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Ability to speak in other dialects such as Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to identify and provide comprehensive solutions for varying customer needs
• Excellent knowledge of Google Suite and hands-on experience with CRM software is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
• Have a competitive edge and thrive in a team environment
• Be very organized and communicate well
• Energetic, enthusiastic and calm even in a dynamic and fast paced environment
• A highly independent and individual with excellent team-working skill
• Attention to details, able to understand processes and adapt to tracking own work systematically and accurately.
• Time- oriented, good management skills with ability to hit goals within set deadlines
