Proposal Engineer (Johor Branch)

Position Overview: The Proposals Engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end completion of high-quality proposals, quotations, bids, and tender responses, which are both technically and commercially compliant with the client’s specifications. This role ensures the completeness and correctness of proposals submissions and drives internal sales through the development and management of these technical and commercial documents. Based in Southern Operations, this role also provides support to the Cyberjaya team when required, ensuring seamless collaboration and consistent service delivery across both locations.

Responsibilities

1. Proposal Management:

• Lead the preparation, development, and submission of technical and commercial proposals.
• Collaborate with various departments and vendors to identify solutions and prepare proposals according to specifications and requirements.
• Prepare compliance/deviation lists and necessary documents for tender submissions.
• Ensure proposals meet client requirements and align with company policies and objectives.
• Assist in the preparation of sales presentations and proposals for internal and external stakeholders.
• Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend optimistic solution.

2. Internal Sales Support:

• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within the Southern Operations and Cyberjaya teams.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and sales leads.
• Determine customer requirements and expectations to recommend optimal solutions.
• Assist in the preparation of sales presentations and proposals for internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain a sales and marketing focus in all proposal-related activities and stakeholder interactions.
• To register, monitor and maintain client vendor management portals and systems.

3. Cross-Functional Support:

• Provide support to Cyberjaya operations as needed, including participation in cross-functional meetings and projects.
• Assist in the resolution of any issues or challenges faced by Cyberjaya operations related to proposals, sourcing, and internal sales.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering-related discipline (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, etc.).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Working knowledge in Contract Administration, Costing and Estimating.
• Highly organized, excellent problem solver, strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Able to work independently, self-driven and with positive attitude.
