This role will require you to manage a team of 7 to 8 staff handling Fund Operations. The successful candidate will be based in the vibrant city of Kuala Lumpur.

What You'll Do

As a Head/Senior Manager, Fund Administration, your role will be pivotal in maintaining smooth operations. You will monitor Fund Operations, trade matching and settlement instructions across various markets, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Your meticulous attention to detail will be crucial in reconciling daily cash flows and investment holdings. Collaborating with custodians and fund administrators, you will resolve any reconciliation issues promptly. Your leadership skills will shine as you plan, manage, and control all aspects of team operations. Furthermore, your commitment to client service will see you participating actively at all levels as required.

  • Monitor and ensure timely processing of trade matching and settlement instructions for both local and global markets in Equities, Fixed Income and other financial products.
  • Follow up on unmatched or failed trades.
  • Ensure income collections and corporate actions events are performed timely and accurately.
  • Reconcile daily cash and investment holdings.
  • Monitor daily cash movements and ensure all movements are captured in the system.
  • Work closely with custodians and fund administrators to resolve reconciliation breaks.
  • Plan, manage and control all aspects of team operations.
  • Participate actively in every level of service as required by the clients.

As a Head, Senior Manager, Fund Administration, you bring a wealth of experience from your time spent in back-office operations within the asset management or financial institution industry. Your understanding of different financial markets, instruments, and settlement processes sets you apart from others. Your experience in preparing portfolio valuations and reports demonstrates your analytical abilities. Your meticulous nature ensures that no detail is overlooked while your ability to work independently showcases your dependability. Your excellent interpersonal skills make you a valuable team player.

  • Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline with minimum eight years of experience in back-office operations in the asset management or financial institution industry.
  • Knowledge of different financial markets, instruments and settlement processes.
  • Experience in preparation of portfolio valuation and report.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently under tight deadlines with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Technical skills i.e. Excel and/or VBA, knowledge of DTCC - Central Trade Manager, Swift and/or project management.
