  1. Make sure the webpage is open.

  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Role Description

We are looking for a dedicated Legal Intern or Pupil-in-Chambers to join our team. This role is designed to provide comprehensive exposure to corporate, commercial, and company secretarial work. The candidate will actively participate in legal research, drafting, client meetings, and business development efforts. Success in this position looks like developing a strong understanding of legal frameworks, delivering high-quality work within deadlines, and contributing to the firm's overall strategic goals. The role fits into the firm's broader mission of delivering commercially sound legal solutions to our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth legal research and assist in preparing legal opinions.
  • Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Attend client meetings and assist with legal advice where necessary.
  • Support business development efforts, including client pitches and proposals.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Malay.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Interest in corporate, commercial, and company secretarial work; business sense is an added advantage.

Excepted Start Date: October 2024 (minimum 3-month commitment for internships).
