The Malaysia Logistics Specialist is responsible for managing all inbound and outbound logistics related to order fulfilment. You will oversee receiving, warehouse and delivery operations including managing 3PL partners. You will lead and ensure adherence to the appropriate processes, set the priorities and meet our customers’ OTC requirements.

You will be required to focus on achieving performance objectives which are in line with the organization’s vision and overcome those obstacles that may inhibit our Water Technologies Division from achieving these business goals. You are required to:

  • Ensure smooth end-to-end order fulfillment
  • Work closely with the local sales team, Supply Chain team and other functional teams to streamline business processes and enhance customer partnerships to ensure that all logistics activities are in line with business objectives
  • Continuous improvement of operations, resulting in cost savings and service improvements
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with our Water Technologies Division policies, procedures, and government regulations
  • Share best practices with counterparts across the region and globally

  • Report all occupational injury, illness, near miss incidents and environmental spills regardless of its severity in Gensuite

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with customer service & commercial team to manage open orders in SAP
  • Prepare shipping documents from SAP based on open orders report
  • Send advanced booking notice to 3PL trucking vendor and confirm truck schedule, and ensure optimized delivery operations
  • Ensure customer requirements are met through on time deliveries in accordance to agreed schedules
  • Upload Proof of Delivery (POD) in SAP upon completion of delivery
  • Manage lifecycle and operations of tank collection, washing and maintenance from customer to designated facilities
  • Monitor regulation changes and ensure regulatory compliance in logistics activities, i.e., road transport, driver performance, waste management, reverse logistics, etc.
  • Monitoring and compilation of freight tracker to ensure accurate billing by 3PLs
  • Coordinate, control, and monitor delivery operations to ensure all agreed KPIs are met
  • Related projects and tasks assigned by the Supply Chain leader to support overall business goals and strategies
  • Share best practices with counterparts across the region

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or Business
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Logistics or Distribution. Expertise in Chemicals or Water Treatment is an advantage
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of local regulations related to Chemicals
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and local language(s)
  • SAP Knowledge is preferred and MS Office software (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.) is required
  • Effective time management skills including sequencing of own work and resource management
  • Self-motivated with high sense of urgency, resourcefulness, and adaptability
