We view ourselves as a scrappy start-up and as a vital member of the team, you will be expected to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in. You'll work directly with the Senior Legal Manager. Broadly, responsibilities as part of this role include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate all legal documents and agreements, including those related to construction, corporate, services, and operations.
  • Provide legal support and advice on transactions and operational matters across various departments within the Company.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Identify and assess legal issues and risks related to the Company’s commitments and transactions, balancing legal implications with commercial needs to develop effective solutions.
  • Assist the Head of the Legal Department with all legal matters and take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the management.
  • Manage and coordinate with external counsel, counterparties, and authorities.
  • Conduct legal research on various topics and across different jurisdictions as needed.

To successfully fill this role, you must possess the following :

  • 3 – 6 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in corporate law practice or in-house legal experience.
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating agreements, with a strong understanding of contract, corporate, and conveyancing law.
  • Research, writing, and analytical skills with a strong capacity for critical thinking and quick adaptation.
  • Highly organized, meticulous and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
