Job Purpose:
To assist in governing Strategy & IT Architecture to ensure timely delivery of services in
an effective, and efficient manner.
To assist in planning and strategizing architecture’s goals.
To track action items, architecture debts, architecture decisions, architecture forum
papers, decision logs and lessons learnt activities to feed into on-going improvements
To ensure the awareness of architecture governance align to the SDLC and governance
processes.
To create awareness of architecture governance guidelines.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & OUTCOMES
Planning the goals of the team
Work with the stakeholders within the team to identify and defined their goals.
Running architecture governance forums,
Ensure that governance forums are conducted on a regular basis to deliberate on matters that
affect the Strategy & IT Architecture
Ensure that all decisions made are recorded and documented accordingly.
Ensure that all decisions made in the governance forums are executed
Planning and budgeting
Plan and budget for the team for one year and utilize the budget accordingly
Improve quality of architecture review submission papers
Ensure the quality of papers for the architecture review forums
Application Life Cycle Management
Improv application data quality via the annual data quality review process for the domain
Perform re-assessment of the application obsolescence, duplication and future readiness along with business alignment.
Potential sunset of applications within the domain
Infrastructure Life Cycle Management
Improve infrastructure data quality via the annual data quality review process for the domain
Perform re-assessment of the infrastructure along with stakeholders.
Potential sunset of infrastructure devices
Competencies and Skills
A solid track record within a good size financial service provider/ bank, preferably within
the ASEAN region
At least 1 year of experience with significant experience in leading and managing large scale
technology environments.
Ability to lead and educate team members, champion and manage change, as well as
communicate proactively with all stakeholders
Must have strong interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manoeuvre within the
political and cultural constructs of the Bank.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills, able to determine the approximate impact of
each issue quickly to prioritize further work
Strong influencing skills and ability to positively and sensitively work with stakeholders
Relationship Management skills, ability to build and create a strong internal network
across levels and disciplines in Maybank
Sound decision-making skills
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
Highly effective planning and prioritization skills
The ability to lead cross-functional teams in defining architectural solutions
Able to articulate and visualized architecture concepts using power point slides
