Fire Safety Engineer (Urgent)

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Fire Safety Engineer with a strong background in construction to join our team for an international data centre project. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing fire safety systems and ensuring full compliance with local and international fire safety codes during the construction and operational phases of the data centre.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive fire safety strategies tailored for the construction of an international data centre.
• Review and evaluate fire protection systems (e.g., sprinklers, alarms, smoke control, fire suppression) to ensure compliance with local, national, and international standards.
• Conduct fire risk assessments, identifying hazards and recommending mitigation measures.
• Collaborate with the design and construction teams to ensure fire safety integration into architectural plans and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with fire safety codes, including NFPA, IFC, and local building regulations.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure proper installation, testing, and commissioning of fire protection systems.
• Lead and participate in fire drills, safety inspections, and incident investigations.
• Provide training and guidance to site personnel on fire safety policies, emergency evacuation procedures, and proper use of fire protection equipment.
• Liaise with local fire departments and regulatory bodies to ensure all fire safety protocols are met.
• Maintain records of fire safety audits, inspections, and certifications, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
