Responsibilities

Initiate and mature organic and inorganic opportunities

  • Identify, initiate and evaluate hydrogen project opportunities based on projects’ commercial viability and technical feasibility.
  • Lead, drive and coordinate prefeasibility studies, detailed feasibility studies and basic engineering, cash flow analysis and pre due diligence and due diligence studies.
  • Lead, analyze and integrate the technical and commercial data for the hydrogen projects including but not limited to power and water supply, land, major equipment (e.g electrolyzer) and their related CAPEX and OPEX.
  • Develop the economics models for hydrogen projects for all the study phases.

Commercial model and agreements

  • Develop and propose the most attractive business model for respective projects to optimize long term and sustainable value for Gentari.
  • Develop, analyze and support the negotiations of the key terms and commercial related agreements required for the delivery of the hydrogen projects.

Partner Selection

  • Lead and provide analysis on the partner selection process based on partner capability from commercial aspects and its alignment to company’s aspiration and project business model.
  • Analyze and develop the key principles in appointing the selected partner to ensure projects feasibility and support the negotiation process.

Stakeholder Management & Advocacy

  • Develop and lead stakeholder management program to assure partnerships & projects value and meeting stakeholders’ expectations.
  • Analyze, strategize and develop advocacy principles and proposals to support the development of hydrogen value chain in Malaysia and SEA
  • Foster and sustain effective working relationships and rapport with the government authorities, business and management institutions, national and key industry players and service providers to capture opportunities for new business ventures and enhance public confidence in the company business solutions, products and services.

Reporting and Risk Management

  • Develop the decision support packages for project gates, steering and investment committees, leadership team, and the Board.
  • Analyze the portfolio and project health check against target and KPIs.
  • Develop and update project progress for management reporting.
  • Drive the implementation of Company risk policies, strategies, guidelines, systems and processes to ensure effective institutionalization of risk management culture in business development activities.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 10-15 years of experience within the related functions
  • Experienced in conducting and assessing business opportunities, external market scans, benchmarking and assessment of competitive position with clear recommendation on strategic actions.
  • Strong business acumen with keen eye for value, demonstrated by experience in developing and executing business plans.
  • Strong nose for value and a clear communicator.
  • Knowledge on clean energy industry, including but not limited to markets, competitors, customers, and value drivers are bonus.
  • Demonstrable experience in presentations and conversation with management and stakeholders.
