Reporting directly to the Head of Strategy & Planning, the Strategy & Planning Analyst supports the formulation of the business strategy & direction (both organic & inorganic) in the Green Mobility space. The ideal candidate is self-driven and excited about making an impact in the clean energy/mobility space. This will be a unique opportunity that allows you to take on a strategic role in a high growth & emerging industry, with a steep learning curve.

Responsibilities

Support the formulation & refinement of the business strategy mainly for the existing green mobility business, while also overseeing strategies for other integrated clean energy solutions for supercharging the green mobility business

  • Frame the company’s overall strategy at a regional scale, including synergies with other integrated clean energy solutions.
  • Drive market research, scenario planning, financial modelling and provide strategic recommendations to the leadership team, including new market entries.
  • Stay close to industry policies, trends & learnings across the globe & region for supporting & sharpening business strategies.
  • Shape, set & monitor OKRs (objectives, key results) key to drive business towards strategy set.

Focal point for strategic business update to the leadership team & other relevant teams/parties

  • Understand how strategic initiatives impact our wider ambitions, and drive governance around business progress & performance tracking.
  • Drive/support preparation for group leadership & board updates, including business strategies, performances, and future plans.
  • Provide input/feedback to key business units within the business in their undertakings of which impacts the execution of the strategy aligned on.
  • Work closely with the wider group strategy team in aligning green mobility’s strategy to the group’s integrated solutions.
  • Lead crafting of internal and external messages for communicating business views & priorities for contributing to the green mobility ecosystem.

Drive/support strategic projects within the business

  • Build business cases for exploring new segment, solution, markets or strengthening partnerships (including but not limited to organic/inorganic partnership/JV structures)
  • Drive buy-side M&As:

Strategic Evaluation: Deep dive on M&A opportunities to evaluate if they are good fit to green mobility’s strategic goals.

Due Diligence & Valuation: Work closely with counterparts to lead due diligence processes and evaluate overall business / financial health (including due diligence findings). Assess ideal valuation of potential acquisitions, with consideration of strategic goals.

Deal Execution: Coordinate with internal teams, targets and external advisors to execute deals efficiently. Provide insights on deal structuring and negotiation strategies.

Stakeholder Management: Prepare investment committee and board papers to present findings and recommendations of M&A opportunities to leadership team.

  • Support other strategic projects within the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record in corporate strategy and/or M&A and/or consulting in a fast-paced business. At least 4-5 years of working experience (we also welcome more experienced candidates with 6-8 years’ experience).
  • Able to effectively manage various stakeholders & present ideas & proposals with confidence to win wider team alignment.
  • Structured problem-solving and strong analytical skills.
  • Self-driven, accountable, agile, ambitious, and passionate to make an impact in the green mobility space.
