Role Purpose

Support Test COE Manager with the implementation of the Testing Centre of Excellence (COE) which contains the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) practices to provide a pro-active and independent testing service (i.e. SIT & Performance testing) to ensure the quality software delivery to the Bank.

Principal Accountabilities

Promote Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) that incorporates testing standards, testing approaches, and automation strategies and frameworks for SIT and Performance Testing.

•Support quality solutions delivery through verification of software functionalities in meeting the documented functional specifications.

•Plan testing activities such as test design, test cases, test data, test plan and chair the defect review meetings for system integration testing, functional regression testing, and performance testing..

•Conduct sanity testing.

•,Work with project team inclusive of development team, application support team, Project Managers and vendors to create test plan and execute test cases to verify the IT system meets user expectations, and stable without major application performance issues.

•Review requirements to provide feedback on completeness, testability and other possibly risk areas that could impact system quality; and provide recommendation on preventive/mitigation measure.

•Plan and perform test execution via manual testing or automation testing.

•Proper adoption of tools for efficiency i.e. test management tool, defect management tool, functional regression testing tool, performance testing tool etc.

•Chair the issue triage meetings with project team for root cause analysis and resolution.

•Track testing progress, and prepare status report

•Identify testing risks, prepare mitigation actions to address the risk.

•Provide testing and defect metrics and present test completion report to the project stakeholders timely.

•Prepare performance testing reports after conducting the performance testing.

Qualification/Experience

•Academic Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information technology. An advanced degree or Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL), CTAL Test Analyst or CTAL Technical Test Analyst is highly desirable.

•Experience: At least 6 years working experience with hands-on experience of manual and/or automation testing, performing functional, system and/or performance testing in technology organisations, preferably in banking systems.
