Lab Chemist (Production)

Job Responsibility:

• Accountable for personal safety, health and environment matters & action that causing safety and health matters to fellow workers.
• Adhere to and enforce safety rules and procedures by adopting established safety code and practices and regulatory requirements to ensure employees work in Safe environment.
• Support ISO14001, ISO45001 and ISO9001 policies to ensure compliance to company and department objectives and documentation.
• Participate in internal auditing to ensure systems were implemented and maintained according to the standard requirement.
• Supervise and manage technicians and laboratory activities to ensure efficient and effective operation to support customers.
• Involved in task team activities comprise of Operation, Technical, PTC and etc for various kind of trial or investigation.
• Plan and conduct test method development and laboratory instrument startup to ensure continual and improved laboratory support.
• Conduct and monitor quality control test training and SHE briefing for laboratory technicians in order to improve technician competency and awareness.
• Check and perform equipment and testing deviation trouble-shooting to minimize test error and equipment down time to support the plant operation.
• Conduct and implement equipment preventive maintenance and timely calibration as per ISO 9001 requirement to ensure measurement assurance and minimize equipment breakdown.
• Control and maintain chemical, consumables, spare parts inventories to ensure smooth and efficient laboratory operation.

Job Requirement:

• Degree in Chemistry / Applied Science / Polymer Science from reputable university

• 1 year experience as lab chemist

• Good personality & able to work independently
