Slickline Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Slickline Assistant to join our team. The Slickline Assistant will support slickline operations by assisting with the setup, operation, and maintenance of slickline equipment. This role is critical in ensuring efficient and safe operations in the oil and gas field.

This position will be based in Labuan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Slickline Operator in rigging up and rigging down slickline equipment at the well site.
• Help in the setup and operation of slickline units, including wireline, winches, and related equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on slickline equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Wear and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Assist in recording operational data and maintaining accurate logs of activities performed.
• Support the preparation of job reports and documentation as needed.
• Work closely with the Slickline Operator and other team members to execute tasks effectively.
• Participate in pre-job meetings and contribute to planning and execution strategies.
• Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to slickline operations.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in slickline technology.

Requirements:

• Must have at least 3 years of working experience in the line of slickline/wireline services within the oil and gas industry.
• Must have minimum certification, diploma or degree in related field.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required by the job.
• Only open to Malaysian citizens.
