Globewerks is a leading conference organiser specialising in the management of professional/academic conferences, with presence in Singapore, Malaysia, India, China and Thailand. We are seeking applications for the following position to join our growing team :

Sponsorship Sales Manager

The Sponsorship Sales Manager is responsible for the acquisition of partners for our conferences and events. You should be a skilled negotiator and business closer, and possess first class written and oral presentation skills.

You should also be naturally outgoing, highly personable and thoroughly professional in your approach to business development. The ability to sell in a subtle, consultative and a sophisticated manner is definitive requirement in this role. An understanding and experience of event management would be an added bonus as there will be opportunities to develop these partnerships too.

This position is well-suited to a self-motivated professional who can work independently and confidently with a variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds. Diplomacy, tact and a keen sense of humour are important attributes for this position. In this multifaceted role (involving sales strategy, financial planning and forecasting, marketing and communications and operational delivery) the successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills and display a high level of organisational and project management ability.

Based in Malaysia, your job scope would include :

o Research the subject matter / event content

o Research and develop a list of potential sponsors for each event

o Reach out to potential sponsors and exceed the budgeted sponsorship target for each event

o Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential sponsorship clients

o Keep precise conversation logs with all sponsorship clients

o Assist in preparing promotional material to advertise sales opportunities

o Maintain knowledge of event timelines and sponsorship deadlines

Education And / Or Experience:

o Business or equivalent degree

o Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in sponsorship or corporate sales

o Strong track record in similar capacities in previous employment
