Senior Manager, Financial Reporting & Tax

Job Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly/quarterly/year-end financial performance statements and reporting to the holding company.
• Coordination/liaison with external auditor for annual audit exercise and finalisation of Annual Financial Statements.
• Preparation and submission of tax submissions (IRB & Customs).
• Provide support/leadership for all Finance related projects across the entire project life cycle including (but not limited to) risk & mitigation plans, issue resolution, UAT and execution, identify interdependencies across other work streams within and outside Finance department
• Handle ad-hoc requests for performance monitoring, information request for decision making etc
• Continuously seek ways to streamline processes, and enhance controls surrounding accounting and finance operation functions.
• Managing and maintaining all Policies and Procedures related to Accounting and Finance Operations.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 10 years working experience in a financial institution.
• Degree / Professional qualification in accounting / finance / economics.
• Practicing member of an accredited professional accounting body, i.e. MICPA/CAANZ/CPA/ICAEW/ACCA
• Must have experience in handling/preparing financial statements and knowledgeable in the relevant reporting requirements, accounting standards and finance operations.
• Strong leadership characteristics and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starter must have positive attitude towards work and work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Preferred if have had involvement in setting up accounting or system automation for automating processes within Finance operations
• Possess positive attitude and good communication skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to work under pressure and independently
• Able and ready to work in VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous) environment inherent in a startup
• Must be a team player
• Detailed oriented and have affinity for figures
