Hatch Asia is exclusively partnering with a global organization within the building materials industry to help identify a dynamic Country HSE Manager to oversee and manage all health, safety, and environmental aspects of operations within the company at a national level.

The HSE Manager will support the development of site risk assessments and collaborate with other departments to integrate HSE considerations into daily operations at two main production sites. They will oversee the implementation and management of HSE programs to ensure a safe, clean work environment, strict regulatory compliance, and adherence to Group HSE standards.

The Challenges

  • Develop, implement, and enforce HSE policies to ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and company standards. Serve as the main point of contact with regulatory bodies, authorities, and external stakeholders.
  • Lead risk assessments and hazard identification processes and develop preventive safety measures for all operations. Ensure that all safety protocols are effectively communicated and adhered to at all levels of the organization.
  • Oversee the investigation of accidents and incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to regulatory bodies and senior management.
  • Manage and maintain environmental compliance programs, including waste management, air and water quality, and the handling of hazardous materials. Promote sustainability initiatives in line with corporate goals.
  • Lead HSE training programs for employees to improve safety awareness and compliance. Foster a culture of safety by engaging leadership teams and ensuring consistent application of HSE policies across all departments.


What It Takes

  • Must have advanced certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or ISO 45001/14001 auditor qualifications are highly desirable. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of local and national HSE laws, regulations, and compliance standards. Familiarity with international HSE standards, such as ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management).
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in HSE roles, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership capacity, preferably in industries like manufacturing, construction, oil & gas, or similar.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing HSE policies and procedures, especially in in implementing ISO 14001 and 45001.
