Head, Unit Trust & ASNB

Job Responsibility:

• Conceptualize, strategize, plan, coordinate and develop the Wealth Management business for the Maybank Group.
• Participate in the product development and selection process for the Wealth Management portfolio through identification of new and changing customer needs for all customer segments.
• Business development activities by building new and maintaining existing business by collaborating with in house & external on shore solution providers.
• To assist in the development of internal decks for new products & campaigns.
• To be responsible for the approval for higher management (CFSC/Head CFS & GWMPC) along with lodgment to FIMM for all unit trust products, operational matters, IT infrastructure and other matters relating to the development of unit trust & private mandates.
• Keeping abreast of market development to cross sell investment products among the Maybank group of customers.
• To conduct briefing during road shows to keep the ground abreast of the current market conditions and the initiative drivers of the Wealth Management business.
• To conduct reviews of the current unit trust product shelf for performance evaluation, gap analysis and rationalization needs.
• Conduct due diligence on new UTMCs on potentially new UTMCs.

Job Requirement:

• Degree Holder, in related fields i.e. Business, Finance & Accounting.
• Have experience and knowledge in the Unit Trust industry & Wealth Management.
• Have Unit Trust license by FIMM & preferable IPPC.
• Preferably at least 5 years of experience in banking and investment industries.
• Good presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Able to perform task using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Words and PowerPoint.
• A team player and capable of leading a team.
• Keep abreast with the investment market environment and regulatory requirement.
• Good interpersonal and communication skill.
• Preferable to have experience with Lipper or Morningstar.
