About the role

The company seeks a reliable and client-focused IT Support Specialist to join my client’s team. They are looking for someone who communicates effectively in English, with strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.

In this role, you'll take ownership of your work, ensuring tasks are completed thoroughly and within deadlines. You'll interact directly with clients, aiming to exceed their expectations and consistently meet SLAs while managing challenging situations professionally. Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills are essential, as you’ll need to handle multiple priorities under pressure. Attention to detail and adherence to processes is critical, as the role involves a mix of on-site and NOC responsibilities. A willingness to work night shifts is also required.

Additionally, the role includes training opportunities to advance to Level 2 support, helping you to expand your skills and take on more complex challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level support for desktops, servers, and network issues through phone and remote assistance.
  • Promptly troubleshoot and resolve incidents by adhering to established procedures.
  • Escalate service issues as necessary, generate support tickets, and coordinate onsite support when needed.
  • Monitor and conduct daily first-level troubleshooting of client backups.
  • Ensure timely resolution of all issues in accordance with SLAs.
  • Prepare weekly reports for the Manager, detailing helpdesk issues and resolutions in compliance with SLA requirements.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in helpdesk, desktop, or server administration within the IT industry.
  • Previous experience managing service desk operations is highly desirable.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with strong technical expertise in WINTEL servers.

Experience in the following areas will be great:

  • Server administration
  • Network administration (e.g., switches, NAS, UPS)
  • End-user support (workstations, Microsoft 365)
  • Virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware)
