We are seeking a dedicated Executive, Finance-COSEC to join our team in Labuan. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling finance and corporate secretarial (COSEC) duties, with a focus on compliance, reporting, and liaising with external parties. This role involves working closely with other teams to ensure seamless financial and corporate secretarial operations.

Key Accountabilities

Finance

  • Manage all financial reports, including General Ledger, Balance Sheet reconciliations, and P&L statements.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any unreconciled items.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial documents, including handling inter-company reconciliations.
  • Liaise with auditors, statutory bodies, and other external parties on compliance and financial matters.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address finance-related issues.
  • Administer Oracle systems (COA AFE ticket monitoring).

Corporate Secretarial/Compliance

  • Assist in compliance matters, including AMLA reporting and ESR submissions.
  • Liaise with local authorities and corporate secretarial agents for Board Meetings and documentation.
  • Ensure timely completion of corporate secretarial tasks and document filings.
  • Support corporate exercises, including meeting arrangements and document compilation.

Tax Compliance

  • Manage all tax compliance matters including tax provision reconciliation and direct/indirect tax return submission on timely manner
  • Ensure the Companies comply with all tax regulatory requirement
  • To serve as the focal for communication and work closely with external and internal auditor / tax auditor / tax agents
  • Monitor and follow up on tax payment/refund positions of the Companies
  • Timely escalate tax and finance issues and provide proposal to Group Tax
  • Ensure day to day responsibility for the smooth running of the operations process
  • Attend to any ad-hoc tax matters as and when required

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, reporting, and corporate secretarial work, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Knowledge of Oracle systems is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently and proactively.
