Job Description
- Explain, apply, and enforce policies based on the DOSH requirements OSHA 1994, FMA 1967 and Environmental Quality Act 1974 and Environmental Quality (Schedule wastes) Reg 2005 at the plant to prevent Lost of Time Injuries (LTI) and any other asset damage.
- To assist prepare and reports overall injuries and accidents at the plant and recommend corrective and preventive accidents, injuries, and illness through effective health and safety measures to minimize/ overcome these accidents.
- Supervise on safety matters cascaded and regularly monitor compliance of safety practices at the plant problem solving, analyze complex situations, investigate accidents or incidents.
- Ensure that all equipment adheres to the safety requirements and other tools necessary for the effective implementation of accident control. Engage with workplace to raise awareness of health and safety through various means such as safety campaigns, and educational initiatives.
- Ensure relevant parties understand and regularly practice safety, health and environment procedures at the workplace and make changes to working practices that are safe and comply with legislation.
- Implement regular updates on DOSH and DOE requirements and lead in briefing for contractors on safety and health requirements as part of orientation.
- To perform any other tasks and assignments as directed by the management from time to time.
- Must have validyellow book.
