Position Summary:We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Supply Chain Manager for our Consumables division in Malaysia. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our supply chain operations, ensuring the efficient flow of goods, from procurement to delivery, while maintaining high levels of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies that support business goals and objectives.
  • Analyze market trends and industry developments to anticipate potential impacts on supply chain operations.

Procurement and Supplier Management:

  • Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials.
  • Conduct regular supplier evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and contractual agreements.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs.
  • Implement inventory control measures to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.

Logistics and Distribution:

  • Oversee logistics operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products to customers.
  • Manage warehousing and distribution activities to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.

Demand Planning and Forecasting:

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop accurate demand forecasts.
  • Implement demand planning processes to align supply chain activities with customer demand.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Utilize data analytics and supply chain metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulations related to supply chain operations.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the consumables industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing supply chain operations and driving process improvements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
