The Role

Main Responsibilities

The tutor shall carry out the professional duties of a tutor under the company's direction, which shall include.

  • Preparing lessons according to the aims and objectives of the Academy and the program of study.
  • Teaching the pupil(s) assigned and is responsible for the welfare of the pupil(s) for the time of the lesson.
  • Maintaining the good order and discipline of the pupil(s) and safeguarding their health and safety while under your supervision.
  • Assessing, recording, and reporting on the development progress and attainment of the pupil(s) by procedures laid down.
  • Communicating with and giving feedback to parents of the pupil(s) regularly.
  • Liaising, when appropriate, with colleagues, to ensure continuity of teaching and learning in each class.
  • Supervising and, as far as is practicable, teaching any pupil whose tutor is not available to teach them.
  • Participating in as appropriate any meetings affecting the Academy and its pupil(s).
  • Participating in arrangements for training, professional development as a tutor and appraisal.
  • Carrying out any other duties which the Head may reasonably require.
  • Sound Internet connection and a quiet environment.

Ideal Profile

Requirements:

  • English Native Speakers to be able to effectively liaise with stakeholders in the region.
  • Degree from a University (or equivalent) or TEFL / CELTA qualification
  • DBS checked (or equivalent)
  • Teaching Qualification PGCE or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Passionate about education with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on student availability.
