The Senior Executive - Internal Audit (Governance, Risk & Compliance) is responsible for supporting the organization in implementing and maintaining internal audit, governance, risk management and compliance frameworks. This role involves ensuring adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. The incumbent will conduct internal audits, identify risks, and implement controls to safeguard the organization's assets and reputation.

Job Responsibilities:

Internal Audit

  • Carry out internal audit assignment, special tasks and project audits assigned by superior.
  • Liaise with auditees during the initiation, execution and closing of all internal audit related tasks.
  • Continuous follow-up and monitor on the status of action plans and project implementation plans.
  • Prepare formal written audit reports to include findings and recommendations for operational deficiencies improvement, procedure and practices for review of superior.
  • Following up and ensure all issues, corrective measures raised in the internal audit report have been implemented in effective manner.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Assist in the development and implementation of governance policies and procedures.
  • Monitor compliance with corporate governance standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize risks across the organization.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies and controls.
  • Prepare enterprise risk management (ERM) reports for superior review.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct compliance audits and reviews and implement corrective actions.

Continuous improvement

  • Identify opportunities for enhancing GRC and internal audit processes.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging risks.
  • Ad-hoc assignment related to the specified scope of work as and when required.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in governance, risk, and compliance.
  • Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in finance/accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and compliance audits.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Must be proficient in the language English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin as it requires to deal with different stakeholders.
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Kuchai Lama.
