If you are looking to grow in an exciting career filled with opportunities and potential, we are seeking a professional to join our team as Senior IT Business Analyst.

The Role:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, including digital platform owners, customer policy services, claims professionals, and executives, to gather and analyze requirements for IT projects and initiatives.
  • Lead the elicitation, documentation, and validation of business and system requirements, including user stories, use cases, process flows, and data models.
  • Conduct thorough impact analysis to assess the effects of proposed solutions on existing systems, processes, and workflows.
  • Provide effort estimation, plan and track all business requests.
  • Define and document business processes, workflows, and procedures, and identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Liaise with source system SMEs to understand the business logics of the data and translate them into Source to Target Data Mapping document.
  • Analyse source data and provide inputs on the handling of data anomalies.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, including developers, architects, and QA professionals, to translate business requirements into functional specifications and technical designs.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in solution design sessions, providing valuable insights and recommendations to ensure the development of effective and efficient IT solutions.
  • Prepare SIT test strategy and test plan, write and execute SIT test cases and test scripts and manage defects.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
  • Take accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company
  • Highlight any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices
  • Other responsibilities entailed

The Person:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a business analyst in building a Data Warehouse or Data Mart, ideally for a Bank or an Insurance company.
  • Ability to write complex SQL scripts, test cases and perform high quality testing.
  • Proven expertise in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and lead collaborative discussions.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) are a plus.
  • High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork
  • Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes
