Position Responsibilities:
- Identify deviations from standards and recommend modifications to ensure compliance.
- Ensure test procedures are well-documented for reusability and compliance with established standards.
- Document software defects using a tracking system and report them to the development team.
- Maintain and develop new automation scripts for functional and regression testing.
- Design, develop, and execute bespoke test automation frameworks tailored to the automation needs of various projects/products.
- Review application and automation code to ensure adherence to established guidelines and standards.
- Conduct testing systematically by identifying, logging, and retesting failures.
- Perform static testing by validating the accuracy and completeness of requirements using requirement documentation.
- Prepare key documents, including Requirement Review Checklist, Requirement Traceability Matrix, Test Scenarios and Test Cases.
- Build and update the Application Regression Test Suite based on current requirements.
- Develop and maintain Test Plans, Test Scenarios, Test Cases, and Test Data.
- Execute various types of tests as documented in the test plan, including smoke, functional, non-functional, performance, and security testing.
- Manage the transition from SIT/QA to UAT by sharing Test Cases, Test Results, and Defect Logs with business users.
- Facilitate regular defect triage meetings to discuss and prioritize critical and high-impacting defects.
- Perform regression testing at the end of each testing phase, either full or partial, depending on the functional changes.
- Conduct causal analysis of all defects raised during testing, with special attention to escaped defects.
- Perform Test Phase Quality Reviews with all relevant stakeholders.
Position Requirements:
- Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Agile and SDLC methodologies.
- Proficiency in technical testing processes and techniques.
- Effective in time management and work planning.
- Expertise in test management and defect management.
- Keen attention to detail with the ability to create clear, precise reports.
- Ability to accurately report the results of all conducted tests.
- Familiarity with testing tools such as Selenium, Sauce Labs, and Jira.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- 4 to 5 years of experience in automation testing.
- Knowledgeable in both General and Life insurance domains.
