Role and Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for the Hardwood Flooring division, developing and executing a comprehensive growth strategy aligned with company objectives.
- Oversee all aspects of operations, including production, quality control, supply chain management, and logistics to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity.
- Drive sales and revenue growth by developing and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies, expanding market share, and building strong customer relationships.
- Manage financial performance through budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Cultivate a high-performance culture by leading and motivating a talented team, fostering collaboration, and promoting employee development and engagement.
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement, and business expansion.
Job Success Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong track record of achieving business objectives. A background in the hardwood flooring industry is preferred but not essential.
- Deep understanding of hardwood flooring manufacturing processes, including raw material sourcing, production techniques, and quality standards.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyse financial data, make informed decisions, and drive profitability.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams through effective coaching, mentoring, and delegation.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to adapt to changing business conditions.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field is preferred, along with relevant industry experience.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in sales and marketing within a manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is advantageous.
- Strong project management skills to oversee complex initiatives and drive successful outcomes.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, data analytics tools).
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
