You will be responsible for:

Strategic Leadership:

  1. Data Mindset: Drives the usage and adoption of Data products through underlying methodologies including usage of test and learn approach, leveraging the benefits of SSOT (single source of truth), user centricity, data & analytics and automation
  2. External Perspective: Brings the "outside-In" by identifying key partnerships with leading data and technology providers to bring industry best practices to the company.

Delivering Change:

  1. Data products delivery: Accountable for the delivery of data products capabilities supporting the functional strategy (on time, in scope, on budget). Ensure management of Data Products through lifecycle.
  2. SSOT activation: Responsible for the utilization across markets of the Single Source of Truth Strategy.
  3. Promotes Data & Analytics: Takes an active role in promoting and communicating about data products and data strategy across all communication channels.

Operational Excellence:

  1. Scoping: Ensure scoping and functional design is delivered and supports project squads with delivery of strategic projects with respect of agreed timeline and budget.
  2. Backlog: Builds and manages the backlog of user’s stories/requirements and prioritizes for development accordingly.
  3. MVPs: Maximizes efficiency in a constantly evolving environment using Minimal Viable Product delivery, and rapid prototyping.
  4. Value added: Possesses a strong analytical background, and ability to deliver value to end users.
  5. Product innovation: Identify new opportunities to enhance current operating processes and implement strategies to address those opportunities.

About The Job:

  • Defining Data Analytics product strategy for a functional domain.
  • Managing Data Products end to end lifecycle (from ideation phase to decommissioning phase).
  • Maximizing ROI by identifying and prioritizing the product features by business value.
  • Working closely with Business or Process Owner to define product strategy, and with Scrum Product.
  • Own and manage product backlog and to report the performance of products and applications.
  • Be proficient in the business processes that collect data and those that use data.
  • Be an expert in understanding and also communicating data lineage, where they come from, their data quality, their transformation and where they are used, why they are used.
  • Developing and managing business requirements, collaborate with Product Analyst to write user stories, and communicating vision to developers and testers.
  • Leveraging Agile methodologies in the product development phases.
  • Defining product cost models and assuring control of the budget and costs of data products.
  • Being determined to become an inspiration to business or process end users of data and analytics and their management.
  • Managing the total cost of product development, ownership, and user unit cost including spend on vendors and services provided by other platforms (Infra, Data Platform, Enterprise Architecture, etc.)
  • Defining support model for the product in collaboration with Global Data & Analytics team.
  • Liaise with Solution & Data Architects on Data Architecture.
  • Liaise with Data Management team on Data Governance and Data Quality.
  • Liaise with Data Science team on AI.
  • Work with product squads to support delivery of strategic projects with respect of agreed timeline and budget, ensuring proper scoping and functional design.

Requirements:

  1. Proven track record of implementing Data products related to data in the areas of sell-out Market share (Nielsen, IRI), Media, Revenue Growth Management, Trade Promotion, In Store Execution, e-Commerce and experience in integrating sources with standard MDM principles.
  2. Ability to demonstrate a mix of technical skills and business processes knowledge and proven experience in rolling out a data product in multiple markets within a region. Essential to have experience in data catalogue documentation and manage the product use throughout all the stages of the product lifecycle.
  3. Experience working with Data Architects, Data Scientists and Visualization teams. Ability to define user stories and prioritizing backlog in accordance with vision of the product.
  4. Strong ability to connect stakeholders in a complex organization, managing stakeholders from Global, Regional, Local, Business and IT colleagues.

About You

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information technology, or equivalent field of study.
  • Minimum 10 years of work experience in IT Data & Analytics.
  • Experience working as Product Owner for Data & Analytics products.
  • Waterfall and Agile methodology experience.
  • Knowledge of modern Data organization (Data Warehousing, Analytics, BI, Big Data, Operational Data Store, Metadata, Master Data, Unstructured Data, ETL/ELT) & Cloud Data technologies (Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Informatica).
  • Proficiency in English, excellent written and communication skills.
  • Capability to express complex data concepts into business language for stakeholder management.
