Job description:-

Must have skills:

• Expert GCP knowledge (certifications highly recommended). Please provide a portfolio/description of large-scale GCP projects undertaken.
• GKE/Kubernetes management and troubleshooting
• Terraform IaC
• Good knowledge of AWS (certifications highly recommended)
• Cloud Architect, GCP, GKE, Kubernetes

System Architecture and Design:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and reliable systems on the Google Cloud Platform considering optimal performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
• Led the design and architecture of cloud infrastructure solutions on GCP, focusing on VPC and its networking (Cloud Routers, Cloud NAT, VPC Peering VPN, GCP PSC, VPC Firewall rules), GCP Load balancers, Instance Groups, GCP VMs , Cloud SQL, IAM users groups service accounts, Cloud Storage, GCS Data transfer, GCP Cloud Armor, etc
• Implement and manage GKE clusters, ensuring the efficient deployment and scaling of containerized applications.
• Implement best practices for building and deploying containerized applications within GKE.
• Optimize GKE configurations for performance, availability, and cost-effectiveness.

Monitoring and Incident Response:

• Develop and implement proactive monitoring solutions to identify potential issues before they impact the system.
• Respond to and resolve incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
• Conduct post-incident reviews and implement improvements to prevent future occurrences.
• Configure monitoring and alerting systems for real-time visibility into the health and performance of GKE clusters and applications.
• Automate scaling based on performance metrics to ensure optimal resource utilization.

Automation and Scripting:

• Implement automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, configuration, and maintenance processes.
• Continuously seek opportunities to enhance operational efficiency through automation.

Capacity Planning and Performance Optimization:

• Perform capacity planning to ensure that infrastructure resources meet current and future requirements.
• Optimize system performance and resource utilization to achieve optimal efficiency.

Collaboration and Documentation:

• Work closely with development teams to understand application requirements and provide guidance on best practices for GCP.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures.

Security and Compliance:

• Implement and enforce security best practices to safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of data.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to cloud infrastructure.

High Availability and Disaster Recovery and Backup:

• Implement high-availability solutions for GCP Infrastructure services to minimize service downtime.
• Implement high-availability solutions for GKE clusters to minimize service downtime.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
• Develop and maintain the GCE backups using GCP native Snapshots, VM Images, and Disk Images using Cloud Functions.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

• Leverage infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Deployment Manager to define and manage cloud resources.
• Maintain version control for infrastructure code and documentation.
