Regional Buyer (Indirect) Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Buyer (Indirect) to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a world-class strategic sourcing function in the APAC region, collaborating with global teams, and implementing strategies locally.

What You'll Do

As a Regional Buyer (Indirect), you will play a critical role within the Procurement team. You will be responsible for addressing a rapidly growing spend in the Marketing, Media, HR & Professional Services portfolio. Your main challenges will include leading the way to expected margin targets, managing a variety of different stakeholders, developing and empowering Local Buyers, maturing the category overall, and preparing for future growth.

  • Understand business requirements and manage various sub-categories with the support of Global Buyers.
  • Develop sourcing strategies for the APAC region and align them with internal stakeholders.
  • Actively involve in sourcing decisions outside of the APAC region.
  • Integrate new business in recently acquired companies.
  • Conduct negotiations with suppliers and lead innovation projects.
  • Develop and empower Local Buyers.
  • Create, gain business wide support for, and implement category sourcing plans that quickly deliver tangible results.
  • Identify and prioritise opportunities to deliver total cost of ownership savings in your categories.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate for the Regional Buyer (Indirect) position will bring a wealth of procurement experience, particularly within Marketing, Media, HR & Professional Services. You will have demonstrated success in delivering best-in-class cost and cash results, leading cross-functional teams towards achieving the lowest total cost of ownership. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to influence at all levels within the organisation. Your ability to thrive amidst ambiguity and change will be crucial to your success in this role.

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in procurement or related field.
  • Successful experience of leading cross-functional teams that focus on the lowest total cost of ownership as a key target.
  • International experience in global companies (ideally FMCG).
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • The ability to thrive with ambiguity, change and minimum processes and systems.
