We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Executive ABAP Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in ABAP development, preferably within a manufacturing environment. This role involves designing, coding, testing, and maintaining custom SAP applications and programs, with a strong emphasis on supporting manufacturing processes and systems. The candidate should be able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

About the Role:

  • ABAP Development: Design, develop, and maintain ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF) within SAP environments, focusing on manufacturing-related modules.
  • Technical Design: Analyze business requirements from the manufacturing sector and translate them into technical specifications and solutions.
  • System Integration: Collaborate with functional consultants and business users in manufacturing to integrate ABAP programs with other SAP modules and external systems.
  • Testing & Debugging: Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of ABAP programs, ensuring they meet the specific needs of a manufacturing environment.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for all development work, including technical specifications, design documents, and user guides.
  • Performance Optimization: Identify and implement performance improvements in ABAP code, particularly in processes relevant to manufacturing operations.
  • Support & Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing ABAP applications, with a focus on enhancing manufacturing processes.
  • Training & Knowledge Sharing: Mentor and train junior developers, sharing best practices and knowledge within the team, especially regarding manufacturing systems.
  • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest SAP developments, tools, and technologies relevant to the manufacturing industry to ensure best practices and innovations are leveraged.

Qualifications:

  • Education: At least Bachelor’s degree & above in Computer Science, Information Technology or an equivalent qualification with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 or second class upper.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in ABAP development within an SAP environment, with a preference for experience in a manufacturing setting.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in ABAP programming, including Object-Oriented ABAP (OO ABAP).
  • Experience with RICEF (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms) development.
  • Strong understanding of SAP modules such as MM, SD, FI/CO, and HCM, particularly in a manufacturing context.
  • Knowledge of SAP enhancement frameworks, BADI, BAPI, and User Exits.
  • Support the migration of SAP systems from on-premise to the RISE with SAP cloud platform, contributing to a smooth transition and helping to utilize new features and improvements for better business outcomes.
  • Familiarity with SAP NetWeaver, Fiori, and Web Dynpro is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • SAP ABAP certification or relevant SAP module certifications.
  • Experience working on SAP S/4HANA projects or upgrades.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment, understanding the specific challenges and needs of the industry.
  • Experience in leading or mentoring junior developers.
