Role Description

The Quality Assurance Executive/Assistant will be a key player in ensuring that all operations within our coffee shop chain adhere to the highest standards of quality and food safety. Based at our HQ office, you will develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), lead internal and external audits, and manage compliance with food safety management systems. Your role will involve overseeing certification processes, conducting training, and addressing any quality-related issues to ensure that every aspect of our operations meets industry standards.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • To develop, implement, review and maintain the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for all outlets & warehouse to ensure compliance with Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) and quality measures.
  • Responsible in conducting quarterly internal halal audits and Food Safety Audits for all outlets to ensure compliance with Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS).
  • To be involved in HACCP & MSQH certification in selected outlets by making sure internal system comply with the requirements.
  • To involve in performing internal and external audits to determine compliance to Food Safety/HACCP/GMP and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage application and renewal of FOSIM for outlets.
  • Assist in Halal Awareness training, Halal Audit training and Food Safety training for all outlet.
  • To conduct periodic warehouse inspection and supplier audit.
  • To evaluate and supplier audit from Approved Suppliers List.
  • To coordinate & provide support to Operations department during MOH or local authority audits as and when necessary.
  • Responsible in overseeing the Pest Control System implemented at outlets.
  • Investigating customer complaints related to Food Safety System.
  • To evaluate & propose quality improvement initiatives deemed necessary.
  • Conduct product testing for the approval new/ improved material.
  • To perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by Superior from time to time.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: At least a diploma in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in outlet operations with a focus on HACCP, HALAL, GMP, and BeSS. Certification in Halal and HACCP is required.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with food safety management systems, auditing processes, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Auditing Experience: Demonstrated experience in conducting audits and preparing comprehensive reports.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with various stakeholders.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel and perform on-site inspections as needed.
  • Organization: Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
