Job Description:

  • Manage and ensure quality in terms of accurate, completeness and timeliness of the General Accounting team in performing their daily activities for the following General accounting processes.
  • Book accounting transactions based on Business Groups inputs.
  • Maintain general ledger master data.
  • Maintain the setup and blocking of cost centers/account codes.
  • Clearing of open items in accounts.
  • Perform analytical review of profit and loss accounts and balance sheet, trend analysis, cost centre checks and transaction posting checks.
  • Provide month end close accounting process transaction support.
  • Execute month end close steps in accordance with work instructions and month end close checklist.
  • Co-ordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities with Business Groups and other CSC F&A functional teams to ensure timely and accurate closure of accounts.
  • Review transactions processed and reports generated by Analyst.
  • To conduct training for analyst on need basis.
  • Ensure that all transactions are processed within agreed timeline as defined in SLA.
  • Contribute to CSC Management Reporting requirement relating to SLA.
  • Manage and resolve issue raised by Business Groups.
  • Managing and resolve issues, queries related to daily task and system. Raise issues, where necessary, to RGM Common Services Centre’s management with resolution for improvement.
  • Managing ad-hoc requests from Function Lead and Business Groups.

Requirements:

  • A diploma/ degree/ professional certificate in Accounting or of relevant disciplines.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of working exposure or experience in a similar role / full set of accounts will have an advantage
  • Candidate with experience in SAP would be an added advantage.
  • Willing to be based at Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur (accessible by LRT)
