Objective:

  • Manage, rehabilitate, reschedule & restructure (R&R) and recovery of impaired loan (“IL”) and debt/equity instruments (“DE”) to maintain quality asset portfolio (Conventional & Islamic Accounts)
  • Manage, rehabilitate, reschedule & restructure (R&R) and recover potential non-performing accounts (PNPA) and non-performing accounts (NPA) to maintain quality asset portfolio.
  • Reduce NPAs to an acceptable level.
  • Manage and monitor performance and compliance of terms of DE and disposal of DE.
  • Manage and monitor rehabilitated / rescheduled / restructured impaired loan (“IL”) until full settlement.
  • Manage Non-Impaired accounts which are successfully rehabilitated, strategy to “exit” these accounts, and related accounts to Impaired Accounts
  • Manage and monitor rehabilitated / rescheduled / restructured NPA accounts until full settlement.
  • Manage collaboration and relationship with external solicitors to support necessary legal action/proceedings
  • Execute end-to-end auction of all assets/collaterals to maximise auction sales value to reduce
  • Propose and negotiate settlement plans to maximise amount recovered for written-off cases

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor performance and compliance of terms of DE (redemption, coupon payment and put & call option) and disposal where applicable.
  • Rehabilitate/reschedule/restructure IL and defaulted DE, collection of overdue accounts, liaising with borrowers/issuers, guarantors, solicitors, valuers, insurers, auditors, financial advisors, receivers and managers, liquidators and etc
  • Responsible for evaluation and assessment of R&R proposals, request, settlement or work out scheme.
  • Responsible for monitoring implementation of R&R, settlement or work out scheme.
  • Responsible for monitoring performance of non-Impaired accounts which are successfully rehabilitated or under exit strategy
  • Perform field work including site visitation.
  • Continuous review of performance through submission of periodic reports.
  • Initiate legal actions whenever necessary.
  • Conduct credit review/renewal of accounts including impairment assessment under FRS139.
  • Optimise turnaround time for submission of CAs on R&R proposal, customer’s request, settlement proposal or work out scheme as well as variation to the terms & conditions.
  • Maximise collections/recoveries and write-back.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Bank’s impairment, credit and risk management policy and parameters set by the appropriate regulatory bodies.
  • To maintain close contact with solicitors on updates for litigation proceedings.
  • Liaise with Business Units on related accounts.
  • Preparing monthly and ad-hoc reports
  • Post-mortem review of impaired loans
  • Handle security and legal documentation in relation to R&R and redemption of securities.
  • Evaluation and assessment of any form of proposal, request, settlement or work out scheme.
  • Optimise turnaround time for submission of CAs on R&R proposal, customer’s request, settlement proposal or work out scheme as well as variation to the terms & conditions.
  • Presentation to management committees on NPA performance on monthly basis in the absence of Circle Lead
  • Key liaison Officer to Business Corporate & Commercial Units & Group Risk Management on Islamic NPL prevention and statistic related matters.
  • Ensure system maintenance of account are done (incl. update LOADS ,CTOS, MOCHA on changes to customer risk ratings) and change of customers information
  • Carry out individual assessment (“IA”)
  • Identify and submit accounts which are qualified for write-off/write down

Requirement:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in credit assessment/recovery.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good in credit and legal knowledge.
  • Strong problem solving skills and resourceful
  • Solid communication/ people skills and able to handle customers
  • Persistence, discipline and strong sense of initiative to follow-through on issues
  • Knowledge of compliance/legal/regulatory requirements regarding collection activities
  • Strong knowledge of legal processes and procedures related recovery
  • Good interpersonal, communication and report writing skills.
