Test Lead/Senior Test Analyst - Payments

Responsibilities:

1. Test Planning

i. Develop and lead the overall Test Strategy & Test Plan for system implementation projects

ii. Work with the Project Managers to define the testing scope, budget, timeline & resources

iii. Review and sign-off on test scenarios (across SIT, UAT) and able to communicate the rationale for the test scenarios

iv. Develop Daily Execution plan and Batch Run plan.

v. Perform Test kick-off meetings with the testing teams involved to discuss the scope of the phases/project sprints, chart out testing process steps and identify resource requirements.

2. Test Execution

i. Participate in planning (E.g. to identify key test types, testing stakeholders, tools and environment requirements)

ii. Review and approve the completeness and quality of test scripts (UAT, SIT) developed by the testing team

iii. Review and approve test scripts for all new features (include UI) and maintain end-to-end test scripts to drive quality that meets business and technical requirements.

iv. Accountable for the execution of the test scripts and the accurate documentation of the test results.

v. Oversee the defects logging, re-testing & closure of defects.

vi. Analyze bugs and errors found during test execution, log and document bugs in the tracking system

vii. Cover testers’ responsibilities if necessary

viii. Responsible for the timely completion of quality testing within the project timeline and free from defects and meeting the company’s standards and procedures.

ix. Building and maintaining the documentation on testing process, to ensure the reusability and compliance with standards.

x. Review and approve the test results

xi. Plan and work with IT to design and populate the test environments with the right test data

3. Reporting

i. Provide timely reports to the project managers and project stakeholders on testing progress, issues faced, etc.

ii.Report Test Status and Risk Management by conducting Test Status meeting with stakeholders to update the test progress, risks and issues on an ad-hoc, daily, weekly and monthly basis as per the project requirements.

iii. Provide dashboards on all testing progress and metrices.

4, People

i. Provide Leadership and Insight into Testing, by participating in efforts to share testing knowledge and expertise within the company

ii. Manage the daily workload of testing and provide direction on test activities.

iii. Manage the internal and external team of testers

iv. Allocate and assign the right workload to the testing team

v, Provide guidance to the project resources on applicable use of the testing methodology

Experience & Qulaification Requirement

1. Graduate with at least a bachelor’s degree.

2. Minimum 6 years’ working experience in leading a testing team with end-to-end testing for large scale and major projects.

3. Good Banking domain knowledge, especially Payment systems testing.

4. Strong experience in managing testing both in an Agile and Waterfall delivery environment.

5. Extensive hands-on experience in planning, testing and defect tracking skills include using a variety of tools such as JIRA, HP ALM and Confluence.

6. Good knowledge of testing life cycle and proficient in working with testing tools.

7. Extensive working knowledge and experience on test management and practices.

8. Management experience in leading and managing a team of testers.

9. Strong communication and relationship skills to engage with key stakeholders at the senior management level and working level

10. Certificates: ISTQB – CTFL, ISTQB – CTAL is preferred.
