Job Description
Purpose:
Ensure proper accounting and financial reporting for operating expenses (OPEX) & fixed assets, including effective operation of the general ledger, financial closing, financial and statutory reporting, internal controls, business processes and systems.

Ensure proper accounting and financial reporting for operating expenses (OPEX) & fixed assets, including effective operation of the general ledger, financial closing, financial and statutory reporting, internal controls, business processes and systems.
Responsibilities:
Fixed Assets & Content & Opex & Leasing reporting
- Oversee the deliverables of a team of Accountants, while managing an offshore BPO vendor
- Review cost and coordinate with Content business team on Content channels renewals and subscribers’ reporting
- Review daily operations relating to StarHub's direct, operating expenses, leasing, and fixed assets reporting
- Review monthly, quarterly, and yearly variance analysis
- Coordinate and review audit schedules and quarter reporting packs
- Perform business accounting assessments, including but not limited to SFRS(I)16
- Guide the team and review new, modification or termination of leases
- Support and coordinate all internal and external audit matters
- Provide accounting advice to and support internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with company’s corporate accounting policies and financial accounting standards
- Other ad-hoc task, if any
Requirements
- Appropriate qualification in Accountancy or equivalent with at least 5 years of experiences in audit and accounting
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS accounting and its applications
- Working knowledge of IFRS 16 accounting will be advantageous
- Experiences with SAP or equivalent ERP system
- Self-motivated, resourceful, inquisitive
- A good team player with strong interpersonal skills with the confidence and maturity to effectively work with different levels in the organization
- Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Meticulous, self-motivated, and resourceful
- Effective communication abilities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as power BI, macros, etc will be advantageous
