Role Overview:

As a Finance Senior Executive, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of financial accounting in accordance with statutory requirements. You will provide accurate and data-based information on companys profitability, solvency, stability and liquidity to help the company make well-informed decisions and monitor financial movements.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Manage all aspects of the financial accounting cycle, including but not limited to bank reconciliations, A/R and A/P transactions, general ledger, as well as inter-company accounting and reconciliations.
  • Perform weekly retail receipt reconciliations and follow up with the relevant store in-charge regarding any open invoices to ensure timely resolution.
  • Own the preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting analysis as a key participant in the financial close process.
  • Ensure timely and accurate closing of finance and accounting activities - monthly, quarterly and annually.
  • Full financial reporting, including preparing key reports; variance analysis (by product/category, by business unit); updating financial scorecards; rolling forecasts; other in-depth analysis of the financial performance.
  • Update and track cash flow weekly, comparing actual versus budget, and ensuring the business is informed of its liquidity position.
  • Preparation of documents for turnover and grant audits, quarterly GST filing and statutory reports for submission to the relevant authorities.
  • Assists in identifying potential improvements to existing systems and processes, areas for cost savings and optimisation.
  • Plays an active role in the maintenance and review of policies and procedures, including ensuring they are up to date with all regulatory requirements and best practices.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with retail or beauty spa background preferred.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to handle large data sets is critical.
  • Strong analytical skills, meticulous.
  • Possesses a sense of inquisitiveness on work matters.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively, as part of a team with strong work ethic.
