Role

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Investment Associate to join our team where the successful candidate will undergo a probationary period prior to confirmation. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity for recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in the private equity sector. As an Investment Associate, you will be supporting 3 key functions as detailed below:

Investment Analysis and Evaluation

  • Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including financial statements analysis, market research, and risk assessment.
  • Evaluate the financial viability and strategic fit of potential investments based on predetermined criteria and investment mandates.
  • Perform comprehensive financial modeling and scenario analysis to assess potential returns and risks associated with investment opportunities.
  • Prepare investment memos and presentations for senior management and investment committees, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Monitor and track the performance of existing investments, including analyzing financial performance metrics, market trends, and industry developments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external advisors, and stakeholders to support the investment decision-making process.
  • Continuously update and refine investment valuation methodologies and models to ensure accuracy and relevance.

Fund Administration and Operations

  • Coordinate fund administration activities with third-party service providers, such as fund administrators, custodians, and legal counsel.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of fund transactions, including subscriptions, redemptions, and capital calls.
  • Maintain fund documentation, including legal agreements, information memorandum, limited partnership agreement, subscription agreement and etc.
  • Prepare and distribute periodic financial statements, performance reports, and investor communications to fund stakeholders.
  • Monitor fund expenses, fee calculations, and cash flows to optimize fund performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to facilitate fund audits and regulatory inspections.

Investor Relations and Fundraising

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective investors through proactive communication and engagement initiatives.
  • Coordinate investor meetings, conference calls, and events, and assist in the preparation of investor presentations and materials.
  • Respond promptly to investor inquiries and requests for information, ensuring a high level of service and professionalism.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to investors on fund performance, investment activity, and market developments.
  • Assist in the development and execution of investor communication strategies, including newsletters, website content, and social media outreach.
  • Participate in fundraising activities, including pitch meetings, roadshows, and investor conferences, to support the growth and expansion of the firm's investor base.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive investors' information and communications.

Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience but fresh graduates with a strong passion for private investments are also encouraged to apply

  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office and financial modeling & analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional certifications such as CFA, CAIA, or CPA are a plus.
