This role will be based in Sedenak, Johor, Malaysia

We Are Looking For:

  • As the Senior Electrical Engineer, you will report to the Technical Manager and support the operations team. You will be Subject Matter expertise for the Data Centre Electrical system and play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems that are vital for the reliable and efficient operation of the data center infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage critical technical maintenance activities associated with HT and LT electrical system to reduce operational risk and in accordance with the MOP
  • Ensure Data Centre’s compliance to all legislation, codes of practice, compliance codes and safety aspect any other requirements/standards.
  • Develop SOP, EOP and MOP for all the critical facility equipment and activities.
  • Act as the Change Management advocator and ensure all change requests are follow up and close timely
  • Lead Shift team on incident investigation, follow up actions and the submission of the interim and final report to Senior Management for review
  • Lead in the RCA for problem management to improve the uptime availability or productivity on the critical equipment system
  • Identify the parameters to be trend in the BMS/DCIM system data and alarm trending focusing on data analysis to identify opportunities to improve the reliability/efficiency of the Critical equipment or processes
  • Support Green Mark Data Center Certification and ensure that electrical system is compliance to the Green Mark requirement
  • Support training and skill development to upskill the Electrical Engineers, including knowledge sharing among colleagues on site and other Data Center.
  • Support and coordinate in Major activities like Annual Shutdown, Electrical Discrimination study exercise, UPS battery replacement, UPS Overhaul etc
  • Assist the Operation team for trouble shooting of electrical failures and work with operations and equipment vendors for the resolution
  • Perform cost saving measure and proposed to management the benefit of implementation.
  • Part of the reviewing and approval committee for all PTW, MOS and RA

Job requirements:

  • Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in electrical design and/or electrical engineering, with a focus on data center infrastructure
  • Familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word, BMS and CMMS/DCIM
  • Excellent in problem solving and performing root cause analysis.
  • Ability to articulate and explain technical concepts to non-technical trained stakeholder.
